What Is a Professment?
A Professment is an organized body of professors, professionals, adepts, scholars, ministers, advisers, researchers, specialists, craftspeople, and practitioners who contribute demonstrated knowledge and competent service to the institutions of the Global District.
The World Professment develops the earlier Professing Council tradition into a distinct Noocratic chamber. Its purpose is not simply to hold office, but to profess what is known, examine what is claimed, develop what can be demonstrated, and place disciplined knowledge in service to the Global Village.
Mandate
The World Professment organizes specialized knowledge for education, research, professional formation, institutional consultation, standards development, hearings, inquiries, presentments, recommendations, and long-range problem solving. It creates a bridge between the educational system and the deliberative institutions of the Global District.
The Professing Council
The Professing Council is the coordinating council of the World Professment. It receives questions requiring specialized knowledge, assigns them to the appropriate College or Council, convenes competent contributors, evaluates findings, and returns structured presentments, professional opinions, standards, or recommendations to the appropriate Global District institution.

World Professment & World Parliament
The two institutions are complementary but distinct. The World Parliament is the representative and deliberative body. The World Professment is the knowledge and professional body. Parliament may refer questions to the Professment for examination. The Professment may return findings, presentments, professional opinions, or recommendations. A Professment recommendation does not become a parliamentary act merely because it has been issued; the appropriate institution retains responsibility for its own decision-making process.
Nu University & World Education
World Education and Nu University form a principal educational and research pathway into the Professment. Their role is to cultivate knowledge, teachers, administrators, counselors, researchers, professionals, and other competent practitioners whose learning can mature into service throughout the Global District.
Professional Offices & Fields of Service
The Professment may organize specialist offices and councils in fields including Indigenous Affairs; Infrastructure and Regional Development; Treasury and Finance; Public Service; Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy; Trade and Investment; Law and Ethics; Communications; Arts and Culture; Labor and Industrial Relations; Small and Family Enterprise; Vocational Education; Industry, Science and Technology; Education; Health; Families and Social Services; Agriculture and Water; Environment; Energy; Tourism; and other fields activated by the Global District.
